To put it simply, EXID's discography is balanced. Its quite seamless actually. There is nothing overtly bad about their music and it is generally quite good. Their discography is enriched by LE's style, which compliments the singers nicely.
Their albums are the height of cohesion. They stay on theme and they know how to structure albums well. Additionally, EXIDs are never contextually dated. They continuously release songs that are appropriate for the year and the trends.
Sometimes they go against the grain a little but nothing "offensive" enough to make you go "oh?". The only genuine surprise I found was that they do RNB very nicely and they often incorporate unit or solo tracks in their albums. Yes, that is the only surprising aspect to their music unfortunately. There is nothing really shocking or astonishing about their music. The only song to elicit that response was "Are you hungry?". This was by far their most experimental track and reminiscent of the whackier parts of k-pop. One could call it a Bboom Bboom by MOMOLAND's ancestor with its identical acoustic opening melody.
EXID's music is "normal" but well executed within themselves and within the context of their albums and discography. Even though there is nothing startling about EXID, they are clean, well-rounded, but never boring.

"WE" - most experimental album in their discography but still reflects trends in an EXID way
'Full Moon" - very clean
